BUTTON UP VERMONT Energy Savings Workshop in Middlebury
Saturday, February 13, from 8:30 - 10:30 am, at the Ilsley Library Community Conference Room
This free workshop focuses on the greatest opportunities for saving energy in homes and where to find technical and financial help for it. Energy Star Vermont contractors and BPI certified energy auditors have been invited to participate, as well as experts in fire safety, electrical work, and wet basement repair. There will be a display of samples of energy saving materials, and free educational materials will be distributed, including a video of do-it-yourself energy-saving projects. As an added incentive, all participants will receive a coupon offering $150 off the cost of a comprehensive energy audit and qualifying improvements by a certified energy specialist. Participants will also have the chance to meet several area contractors who specialize in energy retrofits. Breakfast will be served at 8:30 am.
